Description
The Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General is hiring a Scientific Systems Developer for the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto or Sault Ste. Marie. The role involves scientific and systems analysis, programming, testing, and technical support for laboratory information systems. Responsibilities include developing and testing software, reviewing system requirements, supporting database and API development, and contributing to the implementation of new and revised scientific systems. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, programming and systems development experience, knowledge of databases, web services, APIs, operating systems, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and emerging technologies. Candidates should also be able to collaborate with technical and scientific teams and clearly document technical solutions. Positions: 1 Permanent and 1 Temporary contract/assignment up to 6 months
